Ice Storm in Southern Ontario

Printer-friendly versionPDF version

The recent ice storm caused multitudinous difficulties for a great many people in southern Ontario. There was significant damage done to trees and to property from falling limbs. Many suffered the loss of electricity for quite some time during very cold weather conditions.

A great many people were stranded at the Pearson International Airport. An aviation expert observed that Toronto must take note from other airports and prepare better for extreme cold next time.

The recent storm and cold temperatures rekindled the climate change debate – with arguments for and against. Some predict that unless humanity makes major life-style changes, life as we know it now on this planet, will come to an end.

Are we living in the time of the end? This can also be a theological question. An analysis of the Biblical references about this topic can be found in the booklet “Are We Living in the Time of the End?” The last chapter explains how to prepare for the end time, what an individual can do.
